What is the focus of your practice?
We are a boutique dental office that creates and maintains beautiful, healthy smiles for the modern Canadian. Our team of expert doctors includes Dr. Carol Waldman, Dr. Andrew George, Dr. Sapna Patel and together we are a close-knit team that each brings expertise to the table. The practice has been in business for over 20 years. We do everything including implants, fillings, and surgery, but also focus on cosmetic dentistry which entails whitening, gum lifts, Invisalign — everything to create the perfect smile. We are immensely proud of our Invisalign Diamond status, which makes us one of the top 1% providers in the world. Our motto is to have fun because dentistry is about making people smile, and during the pandemic, we could all use a smile.
What is different about your practice?
We are not the old dusty dental office of the past, we reach a young, modern demographic. I am passionate about getting eye-level with patients to ensure a barrier free experience, so connecting on social media – we have 4 thousand Instagram followers – has been tremendous for our customer experience. We also utilize the latest technology including dental monitoring apps which helps us scan the patients remotely and has allowed us to connect with patients throughout the pandemic while advancing their treatments. Patients send in their scans anytime of day and we can be there for them when they need us. Just like Sowingo is on-demand for me.
When and why did you start using Sowingo?
In March of 2020, we were growing the practice and most suppliers were not looking to take on new customers. Sowingo was quite helpful in not only taking us onboard, but the setup was extremely easy with live chat and text. The customer support team was outstanding, very prompt, and helpful. Because getting supplies was difficult during the pandemic, we were grateful to have this system in place which really allowed us to get the inventory we needed without reaching out to individual suppliers.
What do you like about Sowingo?
It took me under an hour to set up two practices— including shipping — and it has changed the way I do business. I can see the process from purchase to delivery, so we always know what supplies we have on hand and what we need –we never want to run out of anesthetic! And we are still discovering the features of Sowingo. Right now, we are reviewing the sterilization compliance tools and looking to incorporate that into our practice as well.
